Would you like to become a visiting scholar at Drossman Gastroenterology?
Every year students and trainees, clinicians in practice, investigators and allied health personnel visit the Drossman Gastroententerology clinical practice to observe Dr. Drossman in the care of patients with difficult to diagnose and treat disorders of gut-brain interaction (formerly called functional GI disorders). Over half the patients in his practice are referred to him from major medical programs out of state or out of the country.
What do visiting scholars get to do?
Visiting scholars directly observe all aspects of patient care that include advanced interview skills, diagnosis of uncommon or severe GI conditions, and the use of neuromodulators and behavioral treatments.
What other organizations are involved with this program?
This program is part of the Rome Foundation – DrossmanCare Visiting Scholar Program and upon completion of the program attendees will get a certificate of completion.
