This role play simulation demonstrates the pitfalls of an ineffective interview with failure to acquire meaningful information and patient dissatisfaction. In the second interview more knowledge is gained about the illness, and both patient and provider are satisfied and engaged in a collaborative plan of care, and in only a few minutes of time.
